World Humanitarian Day 2013 Message

The United Nations along with entertainers and brands, including Beyoncé and Gucci are embarking on a global campaign to get people actively involved in raising awareness and critical funding for humanitarian work around the world via Leo Burnett New York.
Each year on World Humanitarian Day, the global community recognizes the aid workers and their organizations who support tens of millions of people who have been affected by war, disaster or the crises that flow from poverty, inequality and underdevelopment.
Humanity.jpgThis year, The U.N. and Leo Burnett New York are taking the global movement one step further with a campaign called "The World Needs More..." a first-of-its-kind project that will turn words into funding for people affected by crises all over the world.

The campaign website and new Resilience.jpgphilanthropy platform created by Leo Burnett will allow companies and brands to sponsor a word that the world could use more of.  For example: "love, kindness, giving, etc." From now through Sept 22, people can "unlock" money pledged by corporate sponsors by sharing these words as hashtags through social media and SMS. Each of these sponsored words, identified on www.worldhumanitarianday.org, unlocks a one dollar donation that will go to a designated fund to help NGOs and UN agencies reach more people in need of humanitarian support.  This new marketplace for words will be an ongoing way for the U.N. to harness the power of social media and people in the event of a humanitarian crisis and is essentially turning words into action.

Sustainability.jpgAdditionally, Leo Burnett New York is launching hot air balloons featuring some of the unlocked words across the world beginning on August 19th in areas spanning from Los Angeles and New York City to the Sudan and Australia. There will also be a full scale nationwide print campaign and campaign videos featuring spokesperson, Beyoncé.

Our nanny

Our nanny of 10 years is finally resigning to get married..our boy is 12 now..too old for a nanny..but having her actually leave is very sad. She has been part of our family for 10 years and she practically raised our boy until today. She has always been there  for Raihan during happy, sad and tough times. The great thing about her is that she really cares about our family..not only Raihan..she takes care of my mom when she's ill..she takes care of the whole house when all of our domestic help are on leave..and she does it with sincerity.

She will definitely be missed by our family..and me the most.

This is the wedding 'kebaya' i made for her..at least i want her to be the most beautiful bride in her kampung★

Bye suster eni..we will miss you dearly..♥

PS: look how big Raihan is compared to her..

High class mental patient a.k.a orang gila high class

I went to O.P.I nail salon at plaza indonesia and heard this weird stories from the nail specialist..for me it was shocking as the incidents happened at the most posh area of jakarta where old money and expats wonders around.

Apparently there were a lot of customers (from a nationality i will not mention here) that loves to order the best service/package and not wanting to pay for it after all is done. They will pretend not to be able to speak nor understand bahasa when in the cashier..but during the whole treatment they were able to (????)....there were some that will bargain the price with the reason that it cost cheaper in their home country (???)..there were also some that just walked out and pretend they were 'crazy' (???)...weird right? I never heard about this kind of thing ever happened in places like Talents in Kemang or Luvaze...

Why do these people act like that? Don't they have shame? Don't they believe in karma? Weird weird weird...shouldn't they ask for the price first before enjoying the service?..don't they care about the income of other people..the nail specialist worked hard for nothing..waaaaah..

Anyway, i just wanted to share this story..at least now we know that there are shameless crazy people out there..even for manicure!!!

The nail specialists named them "orang gila high class" or "high class mental patient"★

PS: plaza indonesia banned these people from ever entering the mall again!!☆

You 5 years from now?

I honestly don't know the answer to that question. Everytime someone asked me..i have no clue! Is that wrong not to know your life in 5 years time? Who would know, right? Well, I know that we're supposed to have a goal in life..but I really don't know. Honestly!

The last attempt of me answering the question was..in 5 years time I envisioned myself being happy knowing that I have contributed something good and useful for the society. Knowing that I've given a good example to my child of how he should be of value to the society, world and life. To live not whining, but actively initiating solutions to make things better and happier. I guess my 5 years is pretty simple...happy!..I choose being happy over anything else as I believe that happiness is the core of achieving everything else in life.

So..let's be happy from now on!

Women and Men..are they really mars vs. venus?

I just realized that women and men are really completely different. They are both totally clueless about each other, but will take the effort to assume what the other is thinking. Creating stories and conclusions that are completely different than reality. But what's more interesting is that no matter how far the differences are..yet men and women are so much alike..both longed to be loved..to be cared of..to be ackbowledged..but most of the time they have it..they got it..but they just refuse or can't see it, as their minds  are clouded by their own assumptions..thoughts...which is far from the reality.

I realized this fact just now..after talking to my dad over dinner...and my mom a week ago..

In life...in relationship..sometimes its good to have someone else that can be the middle man to open the reality to us..cause without them we usually fail to see it..i was the middle man for my dad and mom..both of them smiled satisfied after hearing the reality..that both of them love each other very much♥♥♥

Good night.
