Donny (ADA Band) feat. Dave Koz - Manusia Bodoh

"if only you knew"

i've never been this faithful to anyone before in my entire life. i don't know what made me feel this way about you. even after you left, after you re-marry..i am still faithful to you. i am still waiting for you. i haven't let go of the promised you made. i still can't let go no matter how hard i've tried. i think i've used up all my feelings and love..now it's just numb. cold.

how more stupid can one be? if only you had seen and hear with your heart instead your eyes and ears..maybe you would've seen "real".

then again you're the biggest lost in my life, and tonight i felt like saying it out loud.

i miss my president

today at 1.30 PM, ex president Soeharto passed away. a sad moment indeed for indonesia.

i was in the middle of sunday shopping and quick lunch at burger king with a friend, when i heard the breaking news time signal from a tv set nearby. sad.

when i got back home, i quickly open the net to read news of his passing. i was shocked with what i found in the foreign publication. most of them was even written by indonesian american citizen. in one of the article it said that soeharto was a dictator ruled 32 years of the most brutal and corrupt government!! i was almost in tears reading about it. who are they to say such things. yes, he did use dictatorship to rule the country, but so does singapore today. maybe it was brutal to people that loves creating chaos, because they were forced to surrender to peacefulness. But for the MAJORITY of indonesian, soeharto era was the most comfortable, secure and peaceful time. i was able to drive with no tinted glass at 3AM in the morning without being afraid of getting mob. everything was affordable, from education to entertainment. indonesia was respected globally. it was religion neutral. for the MAJORITY of indonesians, it was one of the happiest moment we had. soeharto thinks of the MAJORITY of indonesians, especially the farmers, the simple people. today, who thinks of them?

i understand that he has flaws, he made mistakes, he may be corrupt. but which government is not corrupt. america? or even indonesia post soeharto era.

but i also understand and respect what he has done. and as human being, it's not right for us to discredit the good someone has done, and remember only the mistakes. soeharto may not be a saint, but during his time, it was definitely not THE MOST brutal and corrupt goverment in the 20Th century!! (totally GILA!! for someone to write something like that).

anyway, everybody has the right to speak his/her opinion, but i still feel that the right to speak is the right to speak responsible.

besides the bad article, there is something nice that i manage to find on the net. some never seen before photos of president soeharto, indonesia's father of development (soekarno is the father of independence and unity).

i will miss my president.

why do i call him "my president"?
since i was born, he was the president and my memories of growing up is him, happy, peaceful and endless opportunities.

reality check today, UNCERTAINTY.

nice to be somewhere else

[lunch bareng Edhy Bawono, Yatti Suhaimi, Izabel, Prita, Sekar, Daniel Tumiwa, Julia Santoso, Ai, Rulita, Wawan, Gega, Okta dan Meuthia Kasim]
I never realise how great "time off" feels until yesterday when i met up with Meuthia and friends at Mandarin Spice, Senayan City.
Catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. It is a feeling i missed. I have forgotten that there are tons of nice and great people out there that made living worthwhile and fun. Laughing about the good and bad times. And above all, how they appreciate and respect friendship.
No matter how bad things are currently in your life, if you are surrounded by friends and love..you become strong, much stronger than the problem itself - so get some FRIEND POWER now!!
Hope i will have a chance to do this again!!!

a car down

A Honda Accord fell from the 8th floor of our office building car park!! It happened this morning. The driver died instantly. This incident is the 3rd of its kind, the later 2 happened at a mall. The interesting part of it is that all 3 cars were Honda's. The one this morning actually almost fell on top of a Honda. What a coincidence!!
Should I change my car??

same body different mind.

I love this picture very much..it's hope of love...what each one of us hope for deep inside their hearts.
This past couple of weeks taught me something really good. No matter how hard you work, no matter how big you sacrifice, and no matter how much you endure...nothing will be yours. You can't claim ownership of any form of object, success or feelings. You were born naked and you will die naked. The only difference and the only thing you can treasure is knowledge, memories, love, faith and passion. And all of this is within you. It is kept inside you.
Therefore, why do you kill yourself trying to keep "what you thought" was yours? You have fought, worked, sacrifice, endured pain, built and survived. But this is for you to move on to the next challenge and not for you to take. Let go and move forward. Your success is not measured on how much you have but on how much you can give up. You have contributed in society. You have contributed in the growth of the people around you. You have given your love, strength, time and knowledge to the people around you. You have made people stronger, knowledgeable and some even successful. So why do you still want to claim something that is just not yours.
You are successful (you are the only one who knows apart from God). Think about it. Isn't it true?

Dylan Rezzie - 4 weeks old

He is 3.6 kg now! (can you imagine that Raihan was 4.2 kg when he was born?). The mother looks good, almost back to her size before pregnancy. Just needs a bit of workout for tummy...wow, how good ya? I wish I have her body..I will have 4 children maaaaaannn...hahahaha...btw, 10 February will be Dylan's akekah time! - where we sacrifice 2 goat and give it to the poor. An additional Javanese tradition of cutting hair will be inserted in this Islamic ritual.
